Black Swan Folk Club
Meets Thursday evenings at the Black Swan Inn, a beautiful, old public house in York, England.

Bowery Poetry Club
The new home of the annual Woody Guthrie Birthday Bash, as well as one of the hippest venues in New York City. Music, poetry, performance art, and much more.

Centre for Political Song
Located at Glasgow Caledonian University. Exists to promote and foster an awareness of all forms of political song.

Folk Music Society of New York
Also known as the New York Pinewoods Folk Music Club. Sposnors folk music events within the five boroughs of New York City, plus weekend retreats in the country.

Folklore Society of Greater Washington
Sponsors folk music and dance events in Washington, DC, and its environs.

Herga Folk Club
Meets on Monday evenings throughout the year, except public holidays, somewhere on the outskirts of London. Check website for current location.

Local 1000, American Federation of Musicians, AFL-CIO
Union of traveling musicians in the USA and Canada. Think of it as a "non-local" local.

Orpington Friday Folk
A folk club which meets Friday evenings (of course!) at the Liberal Club in Orpington, Kent, England.

Philadelphia Folksong Society

Yippie Museum
Located in the heart of New York City's East Village and right around the corner from the Bowery Poetry Club, this cozy little venue presents a wide variety of music in an alcohol-free environment. Kids and teens are welcome, as are their aging ex-hippie parents and grandparents.
